STEP ONE
Take the longest piece at the bottom of the tail. (You can collect multiple sections or one as thick as a pencil.)
STEP TWO
Bring it out to the side, pulling it taught so it is straight with no slack.
STEP THREE
Cut as close to the tail bone as possible. Repeat Steps one and two if taking multiple pieces from different areas. With this method you’ll never know you’ve cut any tail hair!
STEP FOUR
Package for shipping by using a ziplock style bag or paper bag - please cut slices or holes in the sides to allow for air flow if using plastic. Horses can carry fungal spores on their hair and when in an enclosed, air tight environment these spores can live for a very long time and be life threatening if inhaled.
STEP FIVE
With a permanent marker include your name, contact information, and order number on your package. A note inside works too!
Now you are ready to ship!
